“…The speakers are amazing. I remember hearing them at the studio and they were crystal clear and remembered liking them and bought them. Their sense of space and openness and realism were second to none. I came home two days later and fired up my system, which had Wilson Sasha WP series 2, and they just sounded wrong. The bass was too heavy, the vocals were no there, and ok they were fine for rap music but on just about everything else it just did not quite work. It sounded slow, muddy, imprecise. Nothing else changed.
Then your speakers came. And Paul over the phone and my install guy and I spent an afternoon setting them up. I think that they could still be fine tuned a bit if I can ever get Paul to my house. With that said, the speakers are so damn amazing. Yes the bass is positioned firing in towards each other as Paul suggested but it’s taught and sounds so realistic. No bloom. I can of course adjust the bass but no need really, at least not yet (unless my hearing goes bad). The sense of space is amazing and the sound stage is second to none. I do not care if I play a well recorded Naim Audio recording (I originally had a whole Naim system and the recording engineer for many of the Naim albums, Ken Christianson, sold it to me — he is ProMusica in Chicago— and set up the system and invited me to live recording sessions) sounds as though I am in the room. Even great albums like the original Led Zeppelin albums, sound crystal clear. Vocal albums are a standout. One of my favorite bands is Razorlight. One of their songs, Wire to Wire, has been a test track of mine for ages. I used the album when I bought my first stereo system with my first bonus check from Andy Singer and I still use it to this day. Wow. The recording studio comes alive you can hear the depth in the band, the way the vocals are recorded, the trembling or nerves. Everything. It’s really something special.
So I think what i am trying say is thank you for making such great speakers. For making it a pleasure for my wife and kids to enjoy the music. We even use the main system with our TV and it’s great. Oh and the cabinets are stunning. My wife wanted me to be sure to tell you that these are tasteful pieces of furniture that makes a glorious sound. She loves it.
